No-one could ever say that working in Health and Safety is boring!  We’re always being approached about helping out with  advice for projects and each year we find ourselves facing lots of new challenges and meeting new people. Which isn’t to say we don’t enjoy working with familiar faces too. A particular favourite happens every April when we work with Stagestruck on a major corporate event in ExCel and we meet up with contractors from a range of companies – despite the fact that she’d broken her elbow in 2 places only 24 hours before the event, Gill was still determined to do this job as it is such a great team! 

In the past year we’ve not only worked with friends who are involved in the exhibition and event industry, such as XKX Ltd, Steel The Scene, Kokoon and Blue-i Technology Ltd, but have enjoyed the chance to work more with some local firms on non-exhibition work as well. We are really pleased to be working to raise awareness of Health and Safety in a range of Settle based companies such as JD Mounsey Ltd (construction, electrical and plumbing specialists), Timberworks, Settle-Carlisle Railway Development Company, Settle Stories and PBA Applied Ecology.  We’ve also been providing support for Time and Tide Events (who promote and stage craft fairs and events across the North East and Yorkshire) and the very popular Yarndale Festival at Skipton Auction Mart.
